BlackBerry KEYone Teardown

Step 1

Using the key tool, open the SIM card slot and remove it.

Warning!

Do not push too hard this may cause damage.

Step 2

Open the cap hiding the bolts at the upper part. 

Warning!

For careful separation, we recommend using a heat gun. At the same time, it is necessary to heat carefully in order, not to damage the surface of the device.

Step 3

Using a screwdriver (Phillips 1.5 mm cross-head), unscrew the 2 bolts securing the back cover.

Step 4

Pry and remove the cover at the upper part.

Step 5

Open the back cover.

Step 6

Using a screwdriver (Phillips 1.5 mm cross-head), unscrew the 2 bolts securing the battery connector and disconnect the connector.

Warning!

We strongly recommend disconnecting the connector to avoid a possible short circuit during disassembly.

Step 7

Using a screwdriver (Phillips 1.5 mm cross-head), unscrew 7 bolts in the lower PCB.

Step 8

Pry and remove the protective panel at the bottom part.

Step 9

Using a screwdriver (Phillips 1.5 mm cross-head), unscrew 3 bolts at the upper part.

Step 10

Pry and remove the protective panel at the upper part.

Step 11

Using a screwdriver (Phillips 1.5 mm cross-head), unscrew 5 bolts in the PCB.

Step 12

Remove the panel covering the connectors.

Step 13

Disconnect the connectors on the PCB.

Step 14

Remove the PCB.

Step 15
