HTC Desire 400 Teardown

Step 1

Open the back cover.

Step 2

Lift and remove the battery.

Step 3

Using a screwdriver (Phillips 1.5 mm PH000), unscrew 2 bolts and using a screwdriver (hex T5), unscrew the 4 bolts in the frame of the phone.

Step 4

Pry and remove the middle frame.

Step 5

The middle frame with buzzer (speaker).

Step 6

Disconnect connector on the PCB and pry & remove the vibration motor.

Step 7

Using a screwdriver (Phillips 1.5 mm PH000), unscrew 2 bolts in the PCB.

Step 8

Disconnect connectors on the PCB.

Step 9

Overturn the board, disconnect the connector from the inside and remove it.

Step 10

Using a screwdriver (Phillips 1.5 mm PH000), unscrew 2 bolts in the lower PCB. Remove the microphone cover.

Step 11

Disconnect connectors of the inter-board cable and of the coaxial cable from inside and remove the lower PCB.

Step 12

Disconnect connector, unstick the label and inter-board cable.

Warning!

For careful separation, we recommend using a heat gun. At the same time, it is necessary to heat carefully in order, not to damage the surface of the device.
