Apple Watch SE / 5 Battery Replacement, Rapid Battery Drain

We received an Apple Watch SE for repair. The same process applies to the Watch 5 and Watch SE2 models.

1️⃣ Heat the display surface to 50° C or 120° F.

2️⃣ Carefully slide a thin film between the glass and the case. Separate the display module along the edges.

Lift the display and see signs of moisture inside!

Any iPhone or Watch user would exclaim: How? Apple devices are supposed to be water-resistant!

Everything is water-resistant, otherwise, we'd have much less work! 😂

3️⃣ When replacing the battery, you don’t need to remove the display entirely; you can just lift it slightly.

To make removal easier, use a syringe to drop a small amount of isopropyl alcohol under the battery.

4️⃣ The battery connector is held by a metal bracket with a Tri-Wing screw.

5️⃣ Clean the inside of the device from moisture traces, remove old adhesive from the edges of the case and the display module glass.

6️⃣ Install the new battery and seal the watch with adhesive.

Place the watch on the charger and double-check everything 😊
