Samsung Galaxy A50 SM-A505

Hello everyone, you’re watching the VRM24 channel, and today we’re going to glue the back cover back on.

We’ve been asked for a long time how to do this properly, so we decided to show the process, using the Samsung A50 as an example.

So, at the very beginning, if we have removed the midframe and the back cover, we need to clean them. For this, we use isopropyl alcohol.

We use a special dense cloth to clean off the remaining adhesive from the entire surface - from all the areas where glue was previously applied.

We clean everything carefully and without rushing. The entire cleaning process, together with the reassembly, took us about 20 minutes.

We also clean the back cover.

Please note that on the A50 the back cover was glued around the camera area, so we also clean the cover in that spot.

For this video, we’re using regular isopropyl alcohol from a large bottle, and the cloth looks like a standard eyeglass-cleaning cloth.

This is what the back cover looks like.

And this is what the phone looks like assembled with the midframe.

For gluing, we will use a sealant.

In our case, it’s a Chinese sealant that I got from the guys at the repair shop - I don’t know its exact name.

Normally, we use B7000 or T7000.

We apply the sealant evenly around the perimeter of the midframe.

Pay attention to how we apply the sealant.

On older Samsung models, the antenna flex cable is located at the bottom - you should not apply glue there, so that you don’t tear off the antenna if the phone needs to be disassembled in the future.

Next, we apply sealant in specific spots so the back cover holds more securely.

We also apply sealant to the back cover in the camera area.

Finally, we press the back cover to the midframe using special rubber bands or regular rubber bands.

Then we leave the phone for about two hours so the adhesive can fully cure.
