Interesting moment!
We had encountered this several times on iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max devices: the screen showed a “High Temperature” message, and the smartphone worked only in a limited mode.
The problem was in the lower flex cable for the system connector.
So we carefully inspected the flex under the microscope and didn’t find any signs of moisture or damage anywhere.
The issue was resolved simply by replacing the flex cable with a new one! 😂
But we still wanted to understand what was the cause of the malfunction.
After we disconnected the system connector, we found the thermistor underneath it — the component that was the cause of the issue.
In theory, we can try repairing the original flex cable.
So we are waiting for the next phone that comes in with the same problem. 🙃
