Apple iPhone 7 Plus Teardown

Step 1

Using the key tool, open the SIM card slot and remove it.

Warning!

Do not push too hard this may cause damage.

Step 2

Using a screwdriver (Star Shape 0.8mm Pentalobe), unscrew the 2 bolts on the end of the phone.

Step 3

Lift the display module.

Step 4

Using a screwdriver (Tri-Wing #000 Precision Screwdriver 2.0mm), unscrew 4 bolts and remove the bracket holds the connectors.

Step 5

Disconnect the battery connector.

Warning!

We strongly recommend disconnecting the connector to avoid a possible short circuit during disassembly.

Step 6

Using a screwdriver (Tri-Wing #000 Precision Screwdriver 2.0mm), unscrew 3 bolts and remove the bracket holds the connectors.

Step 7

Disconnect connectors and remove the display.

Step 8

Lift and remove the battery.

Step 9

Using a screwdriver (Phillips 1.5 mm PH000), unscrew 2 bolts and remove the bracket.

Step 10

Disconnect connector of vibrator.

Step 11

Using a screwdriver (Phillips 1.5 mm PH000), unscrew 3 bolts and remove the vibrator.

Step 12

Using a screwdriver (Phillips 1.5 mm PH000), unscrew 2 bolts and remove the bracket (cameras protection).

Step 13

Disconnect connectors on the PCB and remove the two main cameras.

Step 14

Using a screwdriver (Phillips 1.5 mm PH000), unscrew 2 bolts and remove the bracket holds the connectors.

Step 15

Using a screwdriver (Phillips 1.5 mm PH000), unscrew 4 bolts and remove the part of Wi Fi antenna.

Step 16

Using a screwdriver (Phillips 1.5 mm PH000), unscrew 2 bolts.

Step 17

Using a screwdriver (Phillips 1.5 mm PH000), unscrew 1 bolt and remove the antenna flex cable.

Step 18

Disconnect connectors of coaxial cables.

Step 19

Using a screwdriver (Phillips 1.5 mm PH000), unscrew 5 bolts in the lower part. 

Step 20

Pry and remove the lower part with buzzer (speaker).

Step 21

Using a screwdriver (Phillips 1.5 mm PH000), unscrew 6 bolts in the PCB.

Step 22

Disconnect connectors on the PCB.

Step 23

Remove the PCB.

Step 24

Using a screwdriver (Phillips 1.5 mm PH000), unscrew 6 bolts securing lightning\charging port. 

Step 25

Disconnect the cable with the lightning\charging port, the speaker contacts, and two microphones.

Step 26

Parts in the back cover (housing).
