Disassembly/Repair of the mobile device Huawei Nova Y91 (Huawei Nova Y91 STG-LX1) with each step description and the required set of tools.

⚠️️ Before disassembling, do not forget to turn your phone off.

Use the ejection tool (aka Needle) or Paperclip. Push the tip all the way into the hole until the tray ejects, and then pull the tray of SIM cards out.

⚠️️ Pay attention! The tool must be inserted into a hole on the edge of the phone's housing. Do not press too hard. It may break the tray eject mechanism.

After that we need to heat the surface of the back cover to a temperature of about 70 ° C or 160 ° F. For this we use a heating mat you can use a hair dryer.

To remove the back cover, we will use a plastic film, this is the protective film from the new display. We insert it into the gap between the middle cover and the back cover and run it lengthwise to detach the cover.

We should always be careful around the side buttons and the fingerprint sensor, because in these areas there may be cables and they can be damaged. We also need to be careful around the cameras so that we don't damage the lenses.

Using a screwdriver Phillips 1.5 mm (PH#000), unscrew the two screws securing the small cover.

It is better at this step to detach the cover and disconnect the connector, so as not to damage the fingerprint sensor cable when detaching the middle cover. 

Carefully disconnect the fingerprint sensor cable connector.

And we continue unscrewing the ten screws, we use a 1.5mm Phillips screwdriver or #000.

We recommend placing the screws on a special surface in an easy to remember order for reassembly.

We also need to unscrew seven screws at the bottom using a screwdriver Phillips 1.5 mm (PH#000).

Pry over the edges. Move an opening tool along the detach the clips and remove the middle cover with transmission lines and pads for antenna. The middle cover protects the printed circuit board (PCB).

Try to lift the cover by the edges and don't push anything too far inside, so as not to accidentally break or short-circuit anything on the circuit board.

Disconnect the battery connector as soon as you can. Use a non-metallic or plastic tool to avoid any damage.

ℹ️️ The Huawei Nova Y91 STK-LX1 model has a battery HB5470A3EHW-12 with a capacity of 7000 mAh (also known as a rechargeable battery).

And we can detach the cover with the speaker. Find a handy place to hook the cover and carefully remove the cover with the speaker.

We disconnect the inter-board cable connector, the coaxial cable connector and bend off the cables.

And we can detach the sub-board. We find a convenient place to hook it up and carefully lift the sub-board. The sub-board is taped, so we need to hold it slightly so that it doesn't come off or get damaged.

On the sub-board we have the charging port, cards connector, microphone on the back side.

And we move on to detach the speaker assembly at the top. We need to find the right place for which we can pry and lift the speaker.

We can disconnect the front camera, which traditionally has a heat dissipating foil glued to it. We can also detach the rear cameras. It's better to hold the cameras by the body so they don't fall out and of course it's better not to touch the lenses.

We disconnect the display connector, the inter-board cable connector and disconnect the coaxial cable connector and release the cable from the clip that secures it to the motherboard.

Carefully remove the printed circuit board. There is no need to use a lever or try to reach the circuit board by force. Make sure that nothing is getting in the way or holding the circuit board.

The motherboard, also, may be attached with attachments like latches or hooks, be careful.

⚠️️ Do not bend the circuit board when removing it or push tools under it. Unbeknownst to yourself, you can damage components or cables from the inside.

And we move on to removing the battery.

We need to unwrap six brown tabs on both sides with numbers from one to six. We will pull the middle ones, and the outer ones should be unwrapped so that they don't interfere with us.

So, we hold the display frame with one hand and pull the middle tabs with the other hand.
