Step 1.
Open the back cover
Open the back cover.
Step 2.
Remove the battery
Lift and remove the battery.
Step 3.
Unscrew the screws
Using a screwdriver (hex T6), unscrew 5 bolts and screwdriver (hex T5) 3 bolts.
Step 4.
Open the mid-frame
Pry and remove the middle frame and caps.
Step 5.
In the middle cover
The middle frame with a headphone jack/socket, charging port and a speaker.
Step 6.
Disconnect the connector
Disconnect the connector on the PCB.
Step 7.
Remove the motherboard
Remove the PCB.
Step 8.
Remove the frame
Remove the frame and keyboard.
Step 9.
Unscrew the screws
Using a screwdriver (hex T5), unscrew 3 bolts securing the front frame.
Step 10.
Remove the frame
Lift up the front frame and disconnect connector and remove the frame.
Step 11.
Open the display
Lift up the buttons, disconnect the display connector and remove the display.
Step 12.
In the middle cover
The middle frame.
