Disassembly/Repair of the mobile device Oppo A15s (Oppo A15s CPH2179) with each step description and the required set of tools.

⚠️️ Before disassembling, do not forget to turn your phone off.

Use the ejection tool (aka Needle) or Paperclip. Push the tip all the way into the hole until the tray ejects, and then pull the tray of SIM and Memory card (Micro SD) out.

⚠️️ Pay attention! The tool must be inserted into a hole on the edge of the phone's housing. Do not press too hard. It may break the tray eject mechanism.

⚠️️ The back cover is glued not only along the edge but around the hole of rear cameras cover and around circumference of the fingerprint sensor hole.

We recommend using a special heating device such as a separator machine, heat gun, or heating mat. It will simplify the process. You can use a home hairdryer, but you will have to make a nozzle by hand or have a suitable one in the kit to gently heat and concentrate the heat flow in the right place.

ℹ️️ The surface of the back cover must be heated to soften the adhesive underneath. The approximate heating temperature is 50° C / 125° F.

Use a thin plastic film or pick for separation. To facilitate the process, you can use isopropyl alcohol. It is often the most difficult to pass the tool between the parts to be divided. Choose the far edge from the FFC cables or buttons.

Do not use a lever or any force for separation that could damage the elements inside.

Using a screwdriver (Phillips 1.5 mm PH000), unscrew nineteen screws.

Pry over the edge and lift the cover. This cover protects the lenses of three rear cameras and  a flashlight.

Pry up the edges. Move an opening tool along the edge, detach the clips and remove the middle cover with antenna pads and tracks. The middle cover protects the printed circuit boards (PCBs).

Try to lift the cover by the edges and don't push anything too far inside, so as not to accidentally break or short-circuit anything on the circuit boards.

Disconnect the battery connector as soon as possible. It is better to use a non-metal or plastic tool to avoid any damage.

ℹ️️ The Oppo A15s model has a battery BLP817 with 4230 mAh capacity (aka rechargeable battery).

⚠️️ It is highly recommended to disconnect the connector to avoid possible short circuits during disassembly.

Remove the cover with a loudspeaker.

Disconnect the coaxial cable connector, and inter-board sub-screen cable.

⚠️️ Do not pull on the cable or pry it with a sharp tool. The connectors are pretty weak and break easily, or the cable falls out of the end (lug).

Remove the sub-board. It may be glued to the frame with metalized tape, so to facilitate the process, the sub-board can be heated a bit.

The sub-board, also, may be attached with attachments like latches or hooks. Be careful.

ℹ️️ The sub-board contains a charging port (Micro-USB), microphone, headphone jack, spring contacts for the speaker, vibration motor, and an antenna unit.

⚠️️ It is not necessary to insert the tool underneath when removing the sub-board. Internal components could be damaged.

Disconnect connectors of the display module cable, inter-board cable. Also, we disconnect the connector on the motherboard and remove the fingerprint sensor. 

Disconnect the connectors and remove three rear cameras and one front selfie camera.

Traditionally, the rear cameras were glued with adhesive tape to the display module frame. So, we have to lever carefully to remove them. The front camera is covered with a copper film (black one) that is part of the passive heat sink system and leads to the copper layer on the motherboard shield. 

Disconnect the coaxial cable connector. Also, the cable is attached to the motherboard at two points. Thus we have to detach the cable fixation, otherwise we would not be able to remove the motherboard.

Carefully remove the printed circuit board. There is no need to use a lever or try to reach the circuit board by force. Make sure that nothing is getting in the way or holding the circuit board.

The motherboard, also, may be attached with attachments like latches or hooks. Be careful.

Also, the motherboard slightly holds by thermal paste.

⚠️️ Do not bend the circuit board when removing it or push tools under it. Unbeknownst to yourself, you can damage components or cables from the inside.

ℹ️️ In the display frame remained: the earpiece speaker, battery, coaxial cable, and vibration motor.
