Disassembly/Repair of the mobile device Samsung Galaxy A24 SM-A245 with each step description and the required set of tools.

⚠️️ Before disassembling, do not forget to turn your phone off.

Use the ejection tool (aka Needle) or Paperclip. Push the tip all the way into the hole until the tray ejects, and then pull the tray of SIM and Memory card (Micro SD) out.

If the tray is not pushed out well, we can additionally use tweezers to remove the tray.

After that we need to heat the surface of the back cover to a temperature of about 65-70 ° C or 160 ° F. For this we use a heating mat you can use a hair dryer.

And after 5-7 minutes we can proceed to disassembly. To detach the back cover, we need to slightly lift the edge, because the cover is recessed a little. To do this, we use a thin metal tool. Carefully pry up the edge and slip a plastic film into this place. We run the film along the cover to detach it.

We should always be careful around the side buttons and the fingerprint sensor, because in this area may be located cables and they can be damaged.

We also need to be careful around the cameras. As the back cover is detached separately from the cover of the cameras, the back cover will be glued around the cover of the cameras.

And the camera cover is attached to the middle cover by clips.

And we move on to unscrewing the sixteen screws at the top and bottom, we use a Phillips 1.5mm screwdriver or #000 we can also use a 2.0mm screwdriver or #00.

Disconnect the fingerprint sensor cable connector.

We can move on to detach the middle cover. We use plastic film, run the film into the gap near the cards tray hole and gently run it along so that we can use a thicker tool. This is not the way to detach the clips with this film on this model. As always, we need to be careful around the side buttons and a fingerprint sensor, on the corners and around the cameras.

On the cover we have contact pads and antenna transmission lines. Also the speaker is located in the middle cover.

Disconnect the battery connector as soon as you can. Use a non-metallic or plastic tool to avoid any damage.

ℹ️️ The Samsung Galaxy A24 SM-A245 model has a battery EB-BA245ABY with a capacity of 5000 mAh (also known as a rechargeable battery).

Carefully, preferably from the edge, disconnect the connectors and remove the inter-board cable connecting the mainboard to the daughterboard (also known as the sub-board).

⚠️️ Be careful when removing the cables from the connectors, the cables are pretty thin, and it is easy enough to break them or damage the contact tracks inside.

ℹ️️ An arrow on the FFC cable (flexible flat cable) indicates its correct position.

Disconnect the connectors of the two coaxial cables and release the cables themselves from the clips fixing them on the sub-board. Also we unstick the display cable connector.

We need to unscrew one screw securing the sub-board. The screwdriver is the same Phillips 1.5 mm #000.

Remove the sub-board. It may be glued to the frame or attached with attachments like latches or hooks, so be careful.

ℹ️️ The sub-board contains a charging port (Micro-USB), microphone, headphone jack port, spring contacts for the speaker, vibration motor, and an antenna unit.

⚠️️ It is not necessary to insert the tool underneath when removing the sub-board. Internal components could be damaged.

Carefully detach the front camera. It is better to hold it by the edge so that it doesn't fly out. And detach one rear camera in the same way.

Disconnect the connectors of the two coaxial cables.

On the motherboard, as well as on the subboard, there are R and W markings indicating which cable to attach where.

We need to unscrew one screw securing the motherboard. We can use a 1.5 mm (#000) or 2.0 mm (#00) Phillips screwdriver.

Carefully remove the printed circuit board. There is no need to use a lever or try to reach the circuit board by force. Make sure that nothing is getting in the way or holding the circuit board.

The motherboard, also, may be attached with attachments like latches or hooks, be careful.

⚠️️ Do not bend the circuit board when removing it or push tools under it. Unbeknownst to yourself, you can damage components or cables from the inside.

Turn the motherboard over and detach the two rear cameras. It is also better to hold the cameras by the body to prevent them from flying out and damaging the lenses.

Finally, we move on to removing the battery.

We need to unwrap the transparent coating on the sides and the blue tab in the middle. With one hand we hold the display frame and with the other we pull the blue tab upwards.

If ... nothing happens.

The thing is that the transparent coating on the sides is fused to the battery. We need to use a metal tool to carefully peel off the battery in these places without damaging the display frame or the battery.

ℹ️️ In the display frame remained: the earpiece speaker, vibration motor, and two coaxial cables.
