Disassembly/Repair of the mobile device Samsung Galaxy A54 SM-A546 (Samsung Galaxy A54 SM-A546V, SM-A546U, SM-A546U1, SM-A546B, SM-A546B/DS, SM-A546E, SM-A546E/DS, SM-A5460, SM-A546M, SM-A546M/DS) with each step description and the required set of tools.

Step 2. Remove the tray
First of all, we need to remove the card tray. To do this, we use a special tool, insert it into the hole and carefully push out the card tray.
Step 3. Open the back cover
We need to heat the surface of the back cover to about 70 degrees Celsius or 160° F. For this we use a heating mat, you can use a hair dryer.
And after 5 to 7 minutes, we can move on to detach the back cover. To detach the back cover, we first use a thin metal tool to lift the cover a little bit, because we have the back cover slightly recessed into the display frame.
And we gently pry up the back cover, then we insert the thin plastic film and carefully go along, cutting off the adhesive backing.
â ī¸ī¸ We need to be careful around the cameras so we don't damage the lenses.
â ī¸ī¸ We need to be careful around the side buttons so as not to accidentally damage the cables, if they are located there.
Step 4. Unscrew the screws
Using a screwdriver Phillips 1.5 mm (PH #000), unscrew the nine screws.
It seems that all the screws are the same, but nevertheless it is better to place them on a special surface in a certain order, so as not to confuse anything, just in case.
Step 5. Open the cover
We need to use a non-metallic tool to detach the cover at the top.
Carefully pry the cover by the edge in the right place and detach the cover with the antenna transmission lines and the earpiece speaker.
Step 6. Disconnect the battery connector
Disconnect the battery connector as soon as you can. Use a non-metallic or plastic tool to avoid any damage.
âšī¸ī¸ The Samsung Galaxy A54 SM-A546 model has a battery EB-BA546ABY with a capacity of 5000 mAh (also known as a rechargeable battery).
Step 7. Unscrew the screws
And, then we move on to unscrewing the seven screws at the bottom. For this we also use a Phillips screwdriver one and a half millimeters or Philips #000.
It is better to place the screws separately, so as not to confuse anything when reassembling.
Step 8. Remove the loudspeaker
After removing the screws we need to detach the cover with the speaker.
Carefully hook the cover by the edge in the right place and remove the cover with the loudspeaker.
Step 9. Remove the inter-board cable
After that we disconnect the connectors on the sub-board, disconnect one connector on the motherboard and remove the inter-board cable.
â ī¸ī¸ The direction to the motherboard is indicated by an arrow on the inter-board cable.
Step 10. Remove the coaxial cable
We disconnect the connectors of the two coaxial cables, release the cables themselves from their fixing clips on the sub-board and remove the coaxial cables.
Step 11. Disconnect the connectors
We disconnect the fingerprint sensor connector and we need to unglue the connector of the display cable, which is taped to the sub-board.
To do this, we need to gently pry up the edge of the connector pad.
â ī¸ī¸ No need to hurry, no need to act forcefully, so as not to accidentally damage the connector.
Step 12. Unscrew one screw
And we can move on to unscrewing one screw fixing the sub-board. For this we use a Phillips screwdriver of one and a half millimeters.
Step 13. Remove the daughterboard
Now, of course, we can detach the sub-board. Find the right place where we can carefully pry up the sub-board. We check that nothing is in the way. Carefully lift up and remove the sub-board.
On the sub-board we have the charging port, microphone and other elements on the other side.
Step 14. Remove the cameras
And we move on to detach one of the rear cameras on the upper part. Carefully remove the camera and put it aside.
After that we can detach the front camera. We disconnect the connector and remove the camera.
â ī¸ī¸ We have to hold it slightly so that the camera does not fly out and we do not damage the lens.
Step 15. Unscrew one screw
Then we need to remove one screw with a 1.5 mm Phillips screwdriver, which holds the motherboard.
Step 16. Remove the motherboard
Carefully remove the printed circuit board. There is no need to use a lever or try to reach the circuit board by force. Make sure that nothing is getting in the way or holding the circuit board.
The motherboard, also, may be attached with attachments like latches or hooks, be careful.
â ī¸ī¸ Do not bend the circuit board when removing it or push tools under it. Unbeknownst to yourself, you can damage components or cables from the inside.
Step 17. Remove the cameras
Then we flip the board over to detach the two rear cameras.
Holding the cameras, we disconnect the connectors, take the cameras out, and stow them away.
Step 18. Remove the battery
Finally, we move on to detach the battery.
Traditionally for new Samsung models, we have a blue tab that we need to unwrap and pull upwards. On the sides we have a transparent protective coating, which we need to carefully unwrap too so that it does not interfere with us.
So, we read the description on the tab and as it becomes clear to us from the description - we have to pull the blue tab upwards.
Step 19. In the display frame remained
âšī¸ī¸ In the display frame remained: the fingerprint sensor, vibration motor, side buttons.
