Disassembly/Repair of the mobile device Samsung Galaxy S22 SM-S901 (Samsung SM-S901B, SM-S901B/DS, SM-S901U, SM-S901U1, SM-S901W, SM-S901N, SM-S9010, SM-S901E) with each step description and the required set of tools.

⚠️️ Before disassembling, do not forget to turn your phone off.

Use the ejection tool (aka Needle) or Paperclip. Push the tip all the way into the hole until the tray ejects, and then pull the tray of SIM cards out.

⚠️️ Pay attention! The tool must be inserted into a hole on the edge of the phone's housing. Do not press too hard. It may break the tray eject mechanism.

We need to heat the surface of the back cover to a temperature of about 70 ° C or 160 ° F. For this we use a heating mat you can use a hair dryer.

And after 5-7 minutes we can move on to disassembly.

To remove the back cover, we will use a plastic film, this is the protective film from the new display.

We insert it into the gap between the middle cover and the back cover and run it along the back cover detaching it.

We should always be careful in the area of the side buttons, because in this area there may be cables and they can be damaged. We also need to be careful in the area of the cameras, so as not to touch or damage the lenses.

BTW the back cover is additionally glued in the area of the cameras.

Now we need to unscrew some of the screws at the top, we use a 1.5mm Phillips screwdriver or #000.

This will allow us to get to the battery connector that we need to disconnect.

With a non-metal tool we need to disconnect the wireless charging connector.

We bend the assembly with the speaker, NFC, wireless charging to the side and use a non-metal tool to disconnect the battery connector.

And we move on to unscrewing the screws at the bottom. The screwdriver is the same 1.5mm Phillips screwdriver. The screws seem to be all the same, but we still recommend placing them on a special surface in an easy-to-remember order for reassembly.

We can detach the cover with the speaker. We find the right and proper place to pry the cover at the edge and lift it off. And we can remove the whole assembly (wireless charging, NFC, loudspeaker).

Then we disconnect the connectors on the sub-board and motherboard and remove the two inter-board cables and the display cable. For the reassembly it is written on the cables how they should be placed (arrows point to motherboard ).

Then we need to unscrew the three screws holding the sub-board in place. The screwdriver is the same 1.5 mm Phillips screwdriver.

We can detach the sub-board, carefully hook it over the edge and pull it out. The sub-board is slightly recessed and glued a little. On the sub-board we have the charging port, microphone and cards holder/connector on the back side.

We unscrew the remaining six screws that hold the motherboard, cameras and cover with antennas. The screwdriver is the same Phillips 1.5 mm.

After that we can detach the cover with antennas, we hook it by the edge and remove it.

Before removing the motherboard, we need to disconnect the front camera connector and side buttons cable connector. Disconnect the connectors, bend the cables and we are ready to detach the motherboard.

Carefully remove the printed circuit board. There is no need to use a lever or try to reach the circuit board by force. Make sure that nothing is getting in the way or holding the circuit board.

The motherboard, also, may be attached with attachments like latches or hooks, be careful.

⚠️️ Do not bend the circuit board when removing it or push tools under it. Unbeknownst to yourself, you can damage components or cables from the inside.

Now we need to detach the rear cameras. The cameras are attached to each other, this point should be taken into account and be careful.

ℹ️️ In the display frame remained: the earpiece speaker, battery, and front camera.
