Step 2. Remove the tray
At the very beginning we need to remove the card tray for this we take a special tool, insert it into the hole and push out the combined card tray.
Step 3. Open the back cover
Then we move on to detaching the back cover. We use a thin metal tool, insert it into the gap between the back cover and the display frame and detach a few clips.
And after that, we can use a thicker plastic tool.
â ī¸ī¸ We need to be careful on the corners, because on the corners the cover is held especially tight.
â ī¸ī¸ And of course, we always need to be careful around the side buttons, because they are physically located in these places.
If we missed any of the clips, we can re-pass in those places.
â ī¸ī¸ The antenna contact pads are located on the cover.
Step 4. Unscrew the screws
Then we move on to unscrewing the six screws. We use a 1.5mm Phillips screwdriver or #000.
We unscrew the screws securing the loudspeaker and the connector bracket.
It is better to place the screws on a special surface in an easy to remember order, so as not to confuse anything when reassembling.
We can also take a photo of these screws location.
Step 5. Remove the loudspeaker
Then use a non-metal tool to hook the edge and detach the loudspeaker unit.
Step 6. Disconnect the battery connector
Disconnect the battery connector as soon as you can. Use a non-metallic or plastic tool to avoid any damage.
âšī¸ī¸ The Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite SM-T225 model has a battery HQ-3565S with a capacity of 5100 mAh (also known as a rechargeable battery).
Step 7. Unscrew the screws
And we move on to unscrewing the eleven screws at the bottom. For this we also use a Phillips 1.5 mm screwdriver .
The screws in the bottom part are not different from each other, we just need not to confuse them with the screws from the top part.
Step 8. Remove the loudspeaker
And we need to detach the cover that hides the sub-board.
Find the right place where we can pry, lift and remove the cover.
The cover with the other speaker and vibration motor.
Step 9. Disconnect the connectors
Now we can disconnect the connectors on the sub board. We disconnect the coaxial cable connector and we disconnect the inter-board cable connector.
Step 10. Remove the daughterboard
And we can try to detach the sub-board.
First, we peel off the special heat dissipating tape.
Then we also find the right place where we can hook, lift and remove the sub-board.
On the sub-board we have the charging port, microphone, headset jack port, and other elements on the inside.
Step 11. Disconnect the connectors
Let's move on to disconnecting the display cable connector, inter-board cable connector and coaxial cable connector.
Step 12. Unscrew the screws
We need to unscrew the five screws that secure the motherboard.
The screwdriver is the same Phillips, but the screws are quite different from the previous ones, they are short silver ones with a big cap.
Step 13. Remove the cameras
And we move on to detaching the cameras on the motherboard. It is better to hold the cameras by the body, to prevent them from falling out.
The front camera is traditionally covered with a heat-dissipating foil that we need to peel off.
Step 14. Remove the motherboard
And we can detach the motherboard.
We find the right place where we can hook, lift and remove the motherboard.
Step 15. Remove the battery
Finally, we move on to detaching the battery. We need to unwrap the two black tabs. These tabs are the ends of the adhesive tape that we need to pull out to detach the battery. If it usually happens, the tabs get torn off - we need to use a different approach to detach the battery.
First, we have to use a thin plastic film to run it under the battery trying to cut off the adhesive base.
At some point we can use a plastic card (thicker tool) under the battery. The card is much more convenient and much easier to work with.
It is important, of course, not to run the card too deep under the battery otherwise we can damage the cables located in the middle.
Step 16. In the display frame remained
âšī¸ī¸ In the display frame remained: the earpiece speaker.
