Step 2. Before disassembling!

So, after heating, we need to unscrew the four screws that secure the back cover. For this, we’re using a 2mm Tri-Wing screwdriver.

⚠ī¸ī¸ Please note that this is not a typical Tri-Wing screwdriver. It’s a special one designed for Samsung watches. If you try to use a regular Tri-Wing screwdriver, you might damage the screw threads.

Step 3. Open the back cover

After that, we need to separate the back cover.

The back cover is firmly glued on. For this, we can use a thin plastic tool or a thin plastic film. Carefully insert it into the gap between the case and the back cover, and gently slide it along to cut through the adhesive.

⚠ī¸ī¸ It’s quite challenging to insert the thin plastic film because, as I mentioned, the cover is firmly glued.

This film can be from a new display protector or a film from a stationery store.

⚠ī¸ī¸ Be careful not to insert the tool too deeply to avoid accidentally damaging the cable that runs from the back cover to the motherboard.

Step 4. Disconnect the connector

Then, we use a non-metallic tool to disconnect the sensor connector and remove the back cover

Step 5. Unscrew the screws

Using a screwdriver Phillips 1.5 mm (PH #000), unscrew the two screws and remove the bracket holding the speaker.

Step 6. Remove the loudspeaker

Carefully remove the speaker.

Step 7. Before disassembling!

We disconnect the side button connector, and disconnect the display cable connector with a non metallic tool.

Step 8. Unscrew one screw

And after that, we need to unscrew one screw that secures the motherboard to the frame (bracket).

For this, we’re using a 1.5mm Phillips screwdriver or a #000 Phillips screwdriver.

Step 9. Remove the motherboard

Now, we can carefully remove the motherboard — take it out and set it aside.

Step 10. Remove the bracket

We can also remove the frame (bracket).

Gently lift and remove the frame.

Inside the frame, we have the battery.
