Step 2. Unscrew the screws
Using a T6 HEX screwdriver, unscrew the six screws on the sides of the phone.
Step 4. Unscrew the screws
Using a screwdriver (Philips 1.5 mm PH #000), unscrew the six screws.
The screws are different: âšī¸ī¸ Be sure to note the location of the screws before disassembling. When assembling the device, screwing the screw in the wrong place may damage the device or its parts. To avoid damage, the removed screws and individual pieces (as gaskets or brackets) must be laid out in the appropriate order, or the screws and their holes in the phone must be marked with colored markers.
Step 5. Open the back cover
Using a spudger or a plastic pick, carefully, around the edge, detach the back cover clips, and remove it.
In the back cover is a small board, loudspeaker.
Do not insert the tool deeply or bend it. Otherwise, the housing may be tampered with or damaged.
Step 6. Disconnect the connectors
Disconnect the coaxial cable connector, inter-board cable connector.
â ī¸ī¸ Be careful! The inter-board cable is connected from the inside.
Step 7. Remove the daughterboard
Remove the sub-board. It may be glued to the frame or attached with attachments like latches or hooks, so be careful.
âšī¸ī¸ The sub-board contains a charging port (Micro-USB), microphone, vibration motor, spring contacts for the speaker, and an antenna unit.
â ī¸ī¸ It is not necessary to insert the tool underneath when removing the sub-board. Internal components could be damaged.
Step 9. Open the cover
Pry over the edges. Move an opening tool along the edge detach the clips and remove the cover with a sensor.
Step 10. Unscrew the screws
Using a Philips 1.5 mm screwdriver (PH #000), unscrew the three screws securing the motherboard.
Step 11. Remove the front camera
Disconnect the connector on the motherboard, and remove the front (selfie) camera.
Step 12. Disconnect the connectors
Pry up the connectors of the side button cables, display module cable, inter-board cable.
â ī¸ī¸ Be careful! All connectors are located on the inside of the motherboard.
Step 13. Remove the motherboard
We have decided to unstick the battery first and detach the motherboard.
To unstick the battery just pull the tag up (located at the end of the battery). After, we have not to remove the battery because it is connected to the motherboard from the inside. Instead we pry over the edges and detach the motherboard, and remove the motherboard and the battery together.
âšī¸ī¸ The uleFone Armor 2 model has a battery with 4700 mAh capacity (aka rechargeable battery).
Step 15. Remove the rear camera
Disconnect the connector on the motherboard, and remove the main camera.
