Step 2. Remove the tray
First of all, we need to remove the card tray, it is located at the top. To do this, we use a special tool, insert it into the hole and carefully push out the combined tray for sim cards and memory cards.
If the tray does not come out well, we can additionally use tweezers.
Step 3. Open the back cover
Next, we need to heat the surface of the back cover to approximately 70 degrees Celsius or 160° F. For this we use a heating mat you can use a hair dryer.
And after 5 to 7 minutes we move on to detaching the back cover. To detach the back cover, we use a thin plastic film. This film can be from a new display or a film from a stationery store.
Carefully insert it into the gap between the back cover and the middle cover and gently run it along the edge, cutting off the adhesive backing.
â ī¸ī¸ We need to be careful in the camera area so as not to damage the lens.
â ī¸ī¸ We also need to be careful in the area of the fingerprint sensor, because the cable is located in this place.
Step 4. Open the middle cover
We move on to detach the middle cover. For this we use a thin plastic tool.
We find a suitable place in which we can pick up and detach a few clips. And then we go along the edge, detaching the clips and thus detaching the middle cover.
Of course, we need to be careful on the side of the side buttons and on the side of the fingerprint sensor not to damage them, because they are physically located in these places.
So, we also have to be careful on the corners, because the cover is held tightly at the corners.
Step 5. Unscrew the screws
After that we need to unscrew the ten screws at the top, we use a 1.5 mm Phillips screwdriver or Philips #000.
Step 6. Open the cover
Using a non-metallic tool to carefully detach the cover.
Find the places where the cover is held in place. Carefully rock it back and forth and remove the cover.
We can also take into account that the cover is glued to one side.
Step 7. Disconnect the battery connector
Disconnect the battery connector as soon as you can. Use a non-metallic or plastic tool to avoid any damage.
âšī¸ī¸ The vivo Y35 model has a battery B-W3 with a capacity of 5000 mAh (also known as a rechargeable battery).
Step 8. Disconnect the connector
With a non-metallic tool, we disconnect the fingerprint sensor cable connector and remove the middle cover.
Step 9. Unscrew the screws
After that, we move on to removing the screws at the bottom. For this we also use a 1.5mm Phillips screwdriver or a Philips #000.
The screws may be different, so we place them in a specially marked location.
Step 10. Remove the loudspeaker
Then we need to detach the cover at the bottom. We find the right place where we can hook and gently lift and remove the cover.
Inside the cover we have the loudspeaker.
Step 11. Disconnect the connectors
Then we disconnect the inter-board cable connector, disconnect the coaxial cable connector on the sub-board and also release the coaxial cable from the clips on the sub-board.
Step 12. Remove the daughterboard
Then we need to find the right place where we can hook and detach the sub-board. The sub-board is held in place by small hooks, so we need to be as careful as possible.
On the sub-board we have the microphone, headphone jack port, charging port and other elements on the back side.
Step 13. Disconnect the connectors
We move on to disconnecting the inter-board cable connector, and display connector on the motherboard.
We also disconnect the coaxial cable connector and release the cable itself from the clips on the motherboard.
Step 14. Remove the cameras
After that we can detach the cameras.
First, we detach the front camera and put it aside. Then we move on to detaching the rear cameras. We disconnect the connectors, carefully remove and put the cameras aside.
Some cameras may be glued to the display frame, so we need to be careful.
Step 15. Remove the motherboard
Carefully remove the printed circuit board. There is no need to use a lever or try to reach the circuit board by force. Make sure that nothing is getting in the way or holding the circuit board.
The motherboard, also, may be attached with attachments like latches or hooks, be careful.
â ī¸ī¸ Do not bend the circuit board when removing it or push tools under it. Unbeknownst to yourself, you can damage components or cables from the inside.
Step 16. Remove the battery
Finally, we move on to detaching the battery.
First, we need to unwrap the transparent covering that holds the battery, and we need to unwrap the green tab that indicates what we need to pull and how we need to pull it.
And as the description makes clear to us, we have to pull the green tab upwards.
We pull the tab up, and we detach the battery.
Under the battery we have a transparent coating protecting the inter-board cable, and the flat cable to the display.
Step 17. In the display frame remained
âšī¸ī¸ In the display frame remained: the earpiece speaker, coaxial cable, and vibration motor.
