Step 2. Remove the tray
At the very beginning we need to remove the card tray for this we take a special tool, insert it into the hole and push out the combined card tray.
Step 3. Open the back cover
We need to heat the surface of the back cover to a temperature of about 65-70° C or 160° F.
To detach the back cover, we will use a plastic film, it is a protective film from a new display or a film from the stationery store.
Insert it into the gap between the middle cover and the back cover and run it along the length of the back cover.
Since we have a cover that protects the cameras is separate, the back cover is additionally glued in the area of the camera cover.
Btw, we have nothing on the cover.
Step 4. Unscrew the screws
We need to unscrew the nine screws at the top, we use a 1.5mm Phillips screwdriver or #000.
The screws look like they are all the same, but we still recommend placing them on a special surface in an easy to remember order for reassembly.
Step 5. Unscrew the screws
We move on to unscrewing the seven screws at the bottom, the screwdriver is the same and the screws don't seem to be any different than before.
Step 6. Open the middle cover
We need to detach the middle cover.
To do this, we use a thin plastic film, insert it into the gap in the area of the card tray and run it along it to detach the clips. Then we can use a bigger tool.
â ī¸ī¸ We need to be careful on the corners, because there the cover holds especially tight and we need to be careful on the side of the side buttons and fingerprint sensor, because there they are physically located.
Step 7. Disconnect the connector
Carefully open the cover and lift it up. Now we need to disconnect the fingerprint sensor connector with a non metal tool and remove the middle cover.
Step 8. Disconnect the battery connector
Disconnect the battery connectors as soon as you can. Use a non-metallic or plastic tool to avoid any damage.
âšī¸ī¸ The Xiaomi Poco X3 GT model has a battery BM57 with a capacity of 5000 mAh (also known as a rechargeable battery).
Step 9. Disconnect the connectors
Move on to disconnect the two connectors of the two coaxial cable on the sub-board and disconnect the inter-board cable connector too.
Step 10. Remove the loudspeaker
And we need to detach the speaker. Find the right place where we can lift it.
Be careful, there is a small antenna board attached to the loudspeaker (from the inside), and a coaxial cable is connected to the board.
Step 11. Remove the daughterboard
Remove the sub-board. It may be glued to the frame or attached with attachments like latches or hooks, so be careful.
âšī¸ī¸ The sub-board contains a charging port (Micro USB), microphone, spring contacts for the speaker, vibration motor and an antenna unit.
â ī¸ī¸ It is not necessary to insert the tool underneath when removing the sub-board. Internal components could be damaged.
Step 12. Disconnect the connector
When we lifted the loudspeaker and turned it over, we need to disconnect the coaxial cable connector.
Step 13. Disconnect the connectors
And we move to the motherboard, where we disconnect the connectors of coaxial cables. Carefully disconnect all three connectors.
Then we disconnect the connectors to the inter-board cable and to the display.
Step 14. Remove the cameras
And we can detach the cameras.
First, we remove the front camera and then the three rear cameras.
It's better to hold the cameras so that they don't fly out, and it's better not to touch the lenses so as not to damage them.
If the camera is taped, it should be carefully lifted by the bottom and removed.
Step 15. Remove the motherboard
Carefully remove the printed circuit board. There is no need to use a lever or try to reach the circuit board by force. Make sure that nothing is getting in the way or holding the circuit board.
The motherboard, also, may be attached with attachments like latches or hooks, be careful.
â ī¸ī¸ Do not bend the circuit board when removing it or push tools under it. Unbeknownst to yourself, you can damage components or cables from the inside.
Step 16. Remove the battery
All we have to do is detach the battery.
We unwrap the brown tabs with the letters A and B and read the description on label A.
So, as it became clear to us from the description, we have to unwrap both tabs, but carefully pull only the wide tab A, upwards.
Gently pull upwards and detach the battery.
As we can see under the battery there is a transparent coating that protects the cables.
Step 17. In the display frame remained
âšī¸ī¸ In the display frame remained: the earpiece speaker, vibration motor, coaxial cables.
