How to disassemble ZTE Blade A6, Step 1/1 How to disassemble ZTE Blade A6, Step 1/2
Step 1

Make sure to turn off your phone before disassembling!

Using the needle tool, open the SIM and Micro SD card slot and take it out.

The connector locates at the top left of the phone.

Pay attention! Do not press too hard, it may break the button inside the hole.

Step 3

Using a spudger or a plastic pick, carefully, along the perimeter, unclip the back cover fasteners.

Be careful not to insert the tool too deeply, or pry the cover too hard. Otherwise, tampered marks may remain on it, or the cover may be damaged.

Be careful when opening the back cover. There is a thin flat cable on the side of the volume and power buttons, and the buttons are quite fragile. It is easy to damage.

Step 4

Disconnect the connector and remove the fingerprint sensor.

Do not pull hard on the fingerprint sensor cable. It is glued to the board with double-sided tape. Before disassembling, it is best to warm the sensor up and carefully separate it from the board.

Try not to touch the camera. The camera looks solid, but the truth is fragile enough!

If you leave prints or other marks on the lens, it will be very difficult to clean the lens later and the quality of the images may deteriorate.

Step 5

Using a screwdriver (Phillips 1.5mm PH000), remove the 3 screws and remove the bracket holding the connectors.

Try to perform all actions carefully in order not to accidentally touch or short-circuit anything on the printed circuit board.

Step 6

Disconnect the battery connector as soon as possible.

The ZTE Blade A6 model has a 5000 mAh Li3849T44P8h906450 battery (accumulator), also compatible with the ZTE Blade A6 Lite and Blade 20 Smart models.

It is highly recommended to disconnect the connector to avoid possible short circuits during disassembly. Also, try not to use a metal tool to disconnect the battery connector or do it cautiously.

Step 7

Using a screwdriver (Phillips 1.5 mm PH000), unscrew 7 screws.

Step 8

Remove the loudspeaker assembly with an antenna.

This speaker installs on a large number of these manufacturer models, and it is quite simple to change. To replace the speaker, you need to gently heat the surface to soften the glue base and a new one - be sure to glue it! Otherwise, when playing sounds and music, the speaker will rattle and make extraneous sounds.

When reassembling, be sure to check that the spring contacts on the board and the contact pads on the unit match and touch, otherwise the GSM signal may be lost, or the signal may be very weak.

How to disassemble ZTE Blade A6, Step 9/1
Step 9

Disconnect the connectors of the coaxial cable, the inter-board cable, and the (FFC) cable located between the display and the frame on the daughterboard.

Do not pull on the cable or flat flexible cable and pry it with something sharp. The connectors are very weak and can easily break or the cable will fall out of the end.

Step 10

Remove the daughterboard (AKA sub-board). Because it is glued to the frame with metalized tape; to facilitate the process, the board can be slightly heated.

The board contains a Micro USB port, a microphone and a vibration motor, springs contacts for the speaker, and antennas.

Step 11

Disconnect the coaxial cable connector and side buttons cables, display module cable, and inter-board (FFC) cable on the main PCB.

Be careful about removing the cables from the connectors, the (FFC) cables are very thin and it is easy enough to break them or damage the contact tracks inside.

Step 13

Carefully remove the printed circuit board. There is no need to use a lever or try to reach the board by force, make sure that nothing is getting in the way or holding the board.

On the case remains: in the upper part of the earpiece speaker and the proximity sensor.

Do not bend the circuit board when removing it or push tools under the board. Unbeknownst to yourself, you can damage components or cables from the inside!
