ZTE Nubia Z17 Teardown

Step 1

Using the key tool, open the SIM and Micro SD cards tray and remove it.

Warning!

Do not push too hard this may cause damage.

Step 2

Separate the display module from the cover.

Warning!

For careful separation, we recommend using a heat gun. At the same time, it is necessary to heat carefully in order, not to damage the surface of the device.

Step 3

Using a screwdriver (Phillips 1.5 mm PH000), unscrew 2 bolts and remove the bracket holding the connector.

Step 4

Pry up the connector and remove the display module.

Step 5

Remove the protective label cover.

Step 6

Using a screwdriver (Phillips 1.5 mm PH000), remove 11 short screws in the frame of the phone.

Step 7

Using a screwdriver (Phillips 1.5 mm PH000), unscrew 14 bolts in the frame of the phone.

Step 8

Using a screwdriver (Phillips 1.5 mm PH000), unscrew 5 long bolts in the frame of the phone.

Step 9

Turn over the cable with navigation buttons and remove the buzzer (speaker) assembly.

Step 10

Pry up the connector and remove the navigation buttons cable.

Step 11

Remove the middle cover.

Step 12

Disconnect the battery connector.

Warning!

We strongly recommend disconnecting the connector to avoid a possible short circuit during disassembly.

Step 13

Using a screwdriver (Phillips 1.5 mm PH000), unscrew 2 bolts.

Step 14

Disconnect connectors on the daughterboard.

Step 15

Remove the daughterboard.

Step 16

Remove the microphone.

Step 17

Disconnect the connectors on PCB, and remove the two rear cameras.

Step 18

Disconnect connectors on the PCB.

Step 19

Remove the PCB.

Step 20

Disconnect the connector on PCB, and remove the front (selfie) camera.

Step 21

Using a screwdriver (Phillips 1.5 mm PH000), unscrew 3 bolts.

Step 22

Remove the side buttons.

Step 23

Parts are in the frame of the display module.
