Hello. My daughter's Samsung galaxy A16, I don't know which version, fell right into water. I took it for repair, and it lay there with water for three days. I urgently took it to another technician, and he disassembled it in front of us. He said the display needs to be replaced entirely because some flex cables got flooded. The upper part where the motherboard is is not damaged. Please tell me your opinion. Why can't only the flooded flex cable be replaced? And you promised a video where you remove the battery. I am very interested in the lower part of the phone, what if it is disassembled further. Because the technician said something in the screen is damaged there.

Hello. If the connector on the ribbon cable or the traces on it were damaged by liquid, then it is possible to replace/restore it. But if the ribbon cable is damaged at the place where it is glued to the glass, to the matrix, then it cannot be done. More precisely, it makes no sense, because it is very expensive and in our country there are only a couple of places where the necessary equipment is available.
