Hello, great video. I came here because my gps on MI5 is very weak, and was hoping, to discover where is the gps antenna in this model, so i can somehow fix it or add some copper to it (as some solution was for mi4). What do you think, would that help? If so, could you point me in the right direction, where do i find the antenna? cheers

    Hello, the most easy will be to clean out contacts and straighten them up to each other. Concerning the copper band we didn't use it for enhancing signal gps but it can be as truth as logical (or logical truth:) ) I mean the copper appears (in that case) as an elongation of the antenna!

      Hello, thank you very much for your answer! To be honest, my problem, that i don't know which is the antenna for GPS. ...I'm sure you heard of MI5 poor gps reception problem. It's basically a brand new phone, so i'm really not sure, if the problem caused by dirty connection. Actually, for today morning,i just came to the conclusion, that i just get rid of this handset. Could you give me an educated guess, is this GPS problem fixable at home, or it's rather an HW problem?

        The antenna located at top right. About repair usually we seek solution for global defects (damages) as others the technical centers. Add something to device - I don't know, maybe someone will do it. If you understand what you want to do and you have straight hands (common sense - on russian) something can do at home. If this problem well known and fall gps is a manufacturing defect maybe you can find solution on official site, or use warrantee case. BUT if you have even bit of doubt don't do repair (add) at home, or you'll lose the warrantee or the phone will become a brick.

    Hi, we didn't encounter this problem but LCD to Мi5s, Mi5, and mi5+ have differences. To the Mi5, in our country, the LCD has only one revision.

    Hi, the speaker as and charging port are located on one a flex cable. I see two ways check connector on the Motherboard or inspect the flex cable. OR replace this part entirely.

      vremonte24.ru thanks for the reply :) it's charging now and the speaker is working but quick charge is not fast anymore according to my battery meter app. I only get normal charging speed :(

    Hello, if I understand you correctly you can't separate battery because it has glued? Then use hair dryer for warming (to heat) the battery BUT carefully! Ciao, Se ho ben capito non è possibile separare la batteria perché ha incollato? Quindi utilizzare l'asciugacapelli per riscaldare la batteria ma con cautela!

    Hi, this fault can have two supposed reasons. The first, the headphone jack is broken, the other, defect is inside the Audio Codec microchip. Both cannot be resolved at home.
