    Hi, all holes in phones should be made in the count on dust protection especially Xiaomi. If we talk about a microphone hole some models usually have a rubber chamber/membrane that protects the mic from dust.

I've watched the video and didn't notice any specific dust cover that you took off when dismounting modules with microphones. Therefore asking if it is built into those small "silver boxes" or is it in the outer frame?

The phone doesn't charge anymore, I ordered a new sub-board because every time i pressed the back/under-side of my phone the charging LED would go on. Now the new board is installed but I get the exact same thing, if i press on the left side of the MB connector (located on sub-board), the charging LED goes on. Is my assessment right that the underlying problem might be the Motherboard Connector ?

    On this model, there is often poor contact of the inter-board cable of the connector on both boards. Contacts '+' and '-' are located at the edges of the connector. Often pins are unbending over time, which causes lost connection. Most likely, this is your case. So you need to disassemble the smartphone, clean contacts, bend the pins.
