This video is simply trying to confuse you and make you go through hell with it. You need a blower to remove the glue at the side of the lcd to get it off. And of course, the back plate has to be remove to get the flex ribbon off that's connecting the lcd to the main board. That's only two things that needs to be done. As a beginner, if you attempt to dismantle the whole damn phone just to replace the lcd, you'll run into trouble eventually to remember which parts have to be put back.
