My LG GPad F 8.0 v495 tablet is slowly oozing a sticky substance at the area where the charger plugs in. It still works. Do you think the problem is the battery? I hate to buy a replacement if the problem is something else that might not be fixable.
Hi, it is strange (kind of). There is a small chance that the battery is damaged without related signs as swelling or a specific smelling. So I guess that liquid could penetrate inside before. Anyway, we share your concerns and recommend to open the back cover, disconnect a battery connector, and inspect the battery for leaking or other abnormal things (smell, corrosion, etc).
Hi, it's better for separation. If the battery glued to the frame strongly enough, you need to use a heat gun or pry it up carefully, and I think the cable will interfere with it.
Is there a way to recover files:images and video from a damged unit?
