We'll obviously have to send it back for a replacement. There's a ton of similar cases of loosing signal all over the internet, and there is no known solution, at least I wasn't able to find one
I got to the antenna connection point, and it was firmly connected to the board, and to the black coaxial cable going around the battery. Where else could it be disconnected?
got it!! the bottom part was disconnected. the connector is bad, and it doesn't hold at all. I slightly pressed it together with small pliers, and now it fits perfectly
