Hi, first of all, you need to disassemble the phone and clean all parts of oxidation. After that, you need to assemble the phone and check all its elements.
in English, at first you should disassemble the phone and clean up all parts from oxidation. After that, you got to assemble the phone and check all its elements.
Hello, you have to warm up the entire surface of phone, then, by using a thread, (a steel string), you must to separate the glass from the display. The next step, clean up the surface and glue a new glass. For instance (separating) https://www.youtube.com/edit?o=U&video_id=4rSs938h10I
My GPS doesn't work at all which is very annoying as I have only just bought it, apart from that it works great, does anyone know where the GPS hardware is in the case?.
Dear, could you tell me, does GPS give a large error compared to Samsung. It writes very crooked tracks ±80m. Is this basically for all Yot or did I get a defective one?
I have done that already using GPS Status app, it still doesn't get a lock, signal reads as 0/Infinity, while the AGPS data says how many satellites should be overhead.
My phone's buttons just stopped working for no reason. I couldn't restart it. And it turned out I couldn't even charge it so .. I opened it up and restarted it by removing the battery. It's working fine now. Thank you!!
Same story. Had to use a drill with a small bit and drill it out. When assembling back together, you do not need that screw. It all clicks together fine. The first screw does not come out when removing the back cover, the head strips. We carefully drill it out with a thin drill bit, and during reassembly the back cover simply clicks onto the body and the screw is not needed.
Hello, after 2.17 sec you can disassemble the battery but this one has glued to the housing so firmly, you have to be max careful in removal in the other case you can damage the display (use heat gun or hairdryer for heating the battery carefully as well)
@mike che did you do it ? did it work?
@vremonte24.ru i may buy a Phone that has a broken Battery and use one of my old yotaphones (that broke allready)
Marco and Stefano, did you manage to find a replacement screen? I too am trying to find a replacement screen, to change by myself, but I found prices ranging between €20 (taobao) and €80 (AliExpress) approximately, but above all I don't understand the reasons for such a difference, on a phone that by now is sold for €120.
taobao the price difference is due to the fact that you have to use an intermediary + pay customs duties to buy on taobao so in the end you spend the same as on ali, the ones you find on ali are used on average, so if you want it new it comes to about 130 just for the display through official channels which is why, at 120 you might as well buy it again, at least you'll have a spare battery just in case
Stefano, thank you for the reply, which however leaves me curious. What sense does a market (if it can be called that) make in which a minor spare part costs practically as much as the current price of the whole phone? It's an incentive for disposable products, which I don't like, or perhaps it's the unexpected result of a drop in the phone's price? Or is there something else that I really don't understand. I have already repaired quite a few phones for family and friends and the costs of the front glass never exceeded €20. €100 is absolutely unjustified.
Sorry for all non-italian speaking/readers. We are just having a minor discussion over the reason for the high price of a spare front glass, relative to the price of the full phone. I am just puzzled as to why the price of a piece of glass is so ridiculously close to the price of the phone!
but you have to consider, that the price of a product is determined by a demand, consequently the more popular the phone is the more there will be breakages the more there will be demand for the spare part, the more the price goes down, we have a cell phone that is not popular like an iphone, consequently the price goes up, but in itself if you consider that the yota was designed to compete with the flagship models iphone 5 and samsung s5, today rightly you cannot pay 800 euros for it like when it came out, ergo the price gap
