Step 2. Remove the tray
First of all, we need to remove the card tray. To do this, we use a special tool, insert it into the hole and push the tray out.
If the tray we do not come out well, we can additionally use tweezers.
Step 3. Open the back cover
We need to heat the surface of the back cover to a temperature of approximately 70 degrees Celsius or 160 degrees Fahrenheit. For this, we use a heating mat - you can use a hair dryer.
And after 5 to 10 minutes, we can move on to detaching the back cover. We use a thin plastic film to detach the back cover. We insert it into the gap between the back cover and the middle cover and carefully run it along the edge, cutting off the adhesive backing.
We need to be really careful around the cameras so that we don't accidentally damage the lenses, and we need to be careful around the side buttons, as the cables may be located there.
So, we try to open the cover and as we understand the cover is additionally glued in the camera area. We will need to pass the tool additionally in this spot.
We try to cut the glue base carefully from different sides, from different angles.
In this model, unfortunately, the adhesive is located too close to the cameras themselves.
Step 4. Unscrew the screws
We move on to removing the eleven screws at the top. For this we use a 1.5mm Phillips screwdriver or a Philips #000.
If the screws are not coming out well, we can use a magnetizer, if the screws are stuck, we can additionally use tweezers.
Step 5. Unscrew the screws
The nine screws in the bottom part we also unscrew with the same screwdriver and place them on a special surface separately from the previous ones.
And of course, we also use tweezers to remove the stuck screws.
Step 6. Open the middle cover
We move on to detach the middle cover.
We use a thin plastic film, insert it into the gap between the middle cover and the display frame in the area of the card tray, unclip a few clips and then use a thicker tool.
Carefully go along the edge, detach the clips, thus detaching the middle cover.
We need to be careful with the display edge so that it doesn't get damaged accidentally.
Also, as always, we need to be careful on the corners, because the cover is held really tightly on the corners.
Step 7. Disconnect the battery connector
Disconnect the battery connector as soon as you can. Use a non-metallic or plastic tool to avoid any damage.
âšī¸ī¸ The OPPO Reno8 T CPH2481 model has a battery BLP959 with a capacity of 5000 mAh (also known as a rechargeable battery).
Step 8. Remove the loudspeaker
We need to detach the loudspeaker assembly.
As always, we need to find the right place. Find it, pry it up, lift and remove the cover with the speaker.
Step 9. Disconnect the connectors
And we need to disconnect the inter-board cable connector, disconnect the fingerprint sensor connector, the coaxial cable connector, the second inter-board cable connector and disconnect the display cable connector.
Step 10. Remove the daughterboard
Now, we can detach the sub-board. Carefully pry up the edge, lift it up and take out the sub-board.
On the sub-board we have the charging port, microphone, headset port and other elements on the back side.
Step 11. Disconnect the connectors
And we move on to disconnecting the connectors on the motherboard.
First, we disconnect the connector of the inter-board cable, the connector of the cable to the display.
Next, we disconnect the coaxial cable connector and release the cable itself from its securing clips on the motherboard.
Step 12. Remove the cameras
And we can detach the front camera - carefully hook the connector, lift it up.
Please note that we have a heat-dissipating foil on the camera, which we also need to peel off and save.
The front camera can also be glued to the display frame.
And we can detach the rear cameras.
Carefully disconnect the connectors and try to remove the cameras.
Please note that not only the cameras can be glued to the display frame or to the motherboard, we also have connectors glued to the motherboard. So we need to be extra careful, and not to accidentally damage the connector or damage the cable when removing the cameras.
Step 13. Unscrew one screw
After that we need to unscrew one screw that fixes the motherboard.
For this, we use a Phillips screwdriver one and a half millimeters or Philips #000.
Step 14. Remove the motherboard
And we can detach the motherboard. Gently pry up the edge, lift and try to remove.
â ī¸ī¸ Please note that the motherboard on the back side may be held by thermal paste.
Step 15. Remove the battery

We have one wide green colored tab that needs to be unfold and a transparent protective cover that needs to be turned aside.
