Step 2. Unscrew the screws
We move on to unscrewing the back cover. We use a Torx T2 Phillips screwdriver for this.
The screws are not magnetic, so they tend to stay stuck in the cover.
To remove them, we also use tweezers.

Step 3. Open the back cover
After removing the screws, we need to detach the back cover.
We do this using a thin plastic tool. Insert the tool into the gap between the back cover and the watch body, and gently work around the edge to lift the cover.
We already know there’s a flex cable connecting the back cover to the mainboard, so lift the cover carefully.

Step 4. Unscrew one screw
Identify where the cable is located, tilt the cover to expose it, and then unscrew the bracket that holds the connectors in place.
So we gently remove the screw securing the bracket. For this, we use a 1.5 mm Phillips screwdriver.
Keep in mind that many of the screws are different, so place them on a dedicated surface in the same layout they were removed.
This will help you reassemble the watch correctly.

Step 5. Remove the bracket
Next, we remove the bracket. It's hooked in place, so gently slide it out sideways and set it aside.

Step 6. Disconnect the connector
Now we can disconnect the flex cable and remove the back cover.
This cable also connects the battery, microphone, speaker, and vibration motor.

Step 7. Unscrew one screw
Now we can remove one more screw. Again, we use a 1.5 mm Phillips or a PH #000 screwdriver.

Step 8. Remove the bracket
We then remove the retaining clip that holds one more connector in place.

Step 9. Disconnect the connectors
Then we disconnect the connectors on the mainboard, including the ones for the display and sensors.

Step 10. Unscrew the screws
And we can unscrew three screws securing the motherboard. We use a 1.5 mm Phillips or a PH #000 screwdriver.

Step 11. Remove the motherboard
Now we can remove the mainboard. Carefully lift it at the proper point and gently pull it out. Set it aside.

Step 13. Unscrew one screw
Finally, we can remove the battery, which is mounted to the back cover.
Start by removing the screw that secures the battery connector.
Set it aside, and please note that this screw is different from the others.

Step 15. Disconnect the battery connector
Use a non-metal tool to disconnect the battery connector.
ℹ️️ Huawei Watch GT3 model has a battery HB522025EFW with a capacity of 292 mAh (also known as a rechargeable battery).

Step 16. Remove the battery
Now you can peel the battery off.
Start from the edge and lift gently—do not pry too hard to avoid damaging the battery shell.

Step 17. In the housing remained
In the back cover remained: vibration motor, loudspeaker, microphone.
