Step 1.
⚠️ Before disassembling, do not forget to turn your phone off.
Step 2.
First, as usual, we need to remove the SIM tray.
To do this, we use a SIM eject tool. Insert it into the hole and push the SIM tray out.
Step 3.
After that, we need to heat the surface of the back cover to approximately 70°C, or 160°F.
For this, we're using a heating mat, but you can also use a hair dryer.
After approximately 10 minutes, we can start separating the back cover. For this, we're using a thin plastic film. Carefully insert it into the gap between the back cover and the midframe, then carefully run it around the edge, cutting through the adhesive.
As always, be careful around the side buttons, since there may be flex cables located there.
And, of course, be careful around the camera cover. The cover is additionally glued in this area, and we could also accidentally touch and damage the camera lenses, so we need to be especially careful here.
Step 4.
After that, we need to cover the camera lenses. For this, we're using a special film.
Notice that we apply the film not directly to the lenses, but to the rim around them.
Next, we move on to removing the screws in the upper section.
For this, we're using a 1.5 mm Phillips screwdriver, or Phillips #000.
Step 5.
After removing the screws, we release one of the bracket and disconnect the connector.
Step 6.
Then move on to removing the cover from the upper section. For this, we're using a non-metallic tool.
Set the cover aside.
Step 7.
Then, using a non-metallic tool, we disconnect the two battery connectors and move on to the lower section.
ℹ️ The Xiaomi POCO X7 Pro 2412DPC0AG uses a BP59 rechargeable battery with a capacity of 6000 mAh.
Step 8.
In the lower section, we need to remove the screws. We're also using a 1.5 mm Phillips screwdriver, or Phillips #000.
If the screws are difficult to remove, we use tweezers. It's better to keep these screws separate from the ones we removed earlier.
Step 9.
After removing the screws, we need to remove the speaker cover.
Carefully pry it up by the edge. Notice that there is a channel inside the cover where the coaxial cable is routed.
So we need to carefully lift the cover, turn it over, and see how the coaxial cable is held in place.
And as we can see, the coaxial cable is connected to a small antenna board on the speaker cover.
To remove to loudspeaker, we disconnect coaxial cable on the main boars and release the cable itself.
Step 10.
Next, we disconnect the interconnect flex cable connector, disconnect the connector for the second coaxial cable, and release the cable from the clips holding it in place on the sub-board.
Then we disconnect the fingerprint sensor connector.
Step 11.
Now we can remove the sub-board.
It is slightly recessed and slightly glued in place. Carefully pry it up by the edge, lift it, and carefully remove the sub-board. Make sure nothing is getting in the way.
The sub-board contains the charging port and microphone, with the SIM card connector located on the back side.
The fingerprint sensor and vibration motor remain in the display frame.
Step 12.
We can disconnect the cameras.
Carefully pry them up and lift them. It's also better to remove the heat dissipation film, as we'll need it for reassembly. Carefully peel it off and set the cameras aside.
The small rear-facing camera is glued to the motherboard, so we also need to carefully lift the flex cable, carefully pry it up by the base, and remove the camera.
Now we need to disconnect the front-facing camera. The heat dissipation film also needs to be removed.
Carefully disconnect the front-facing camera. Its body is also glued to the display frame.
Carefully pry it up and remove the front-facing camera.
Step 13.
After that, we disconnect the interconnect flex cable connector and disconnect the display flex cable connector.
We disconnect the second coaxial cable connector and release the cable from the clips holding it in place on the motherboard.
Step 14.
We check to make sure there are no screws left anywhere. Peel off the heat dissipating film from the earpiece speaker.
And now we can remove the motherboard.
Carefully pry it up by the edge, at the correct point, lift it, and remove it.
By the way, the motherboard may also be held in place by thermal paste on the back side.
Step 15.
Finally, we move on to removing the battery.
As is traditional with Xiaomi POCO devices, we have brown pull tabs that need to be folded back.
So, we have two brown tabs, marked A and B, on each side. We need to fold them as far to the side as possible, and then pull upward on the tab located at the edge.
So, we fold the tabs back and carefully pull the edge tab marked A. But the battery is attached quite firmly.
We need to be very careful. We can try to slightly lift the battery at one point, but don't use force, as this could damage the battery casing. And, of course, do not use a metal tool.
Carefully keep pulling, and at some point, we can separate the battery.
