Disassembly/Repair of the mobile device Huawei Nova Y61 (Huawei Nova Y61 EVE-LX9N) with each step description and the required set of tools.

⚠️️ Before disassembling, do not forget to turn your phone off.

Use the ejection tool (aka Needle) or Paperclip. Push the tip all the way into the hole until the tray ejects, and then pull the tray of SIM and Memory card (Micro SD) out.

⚠️️ Pay attention! The tool must be inserted into a hole on the edge of the phone's housing. Do not press too hard. It may break the tray eject mechanism.

We move on to detaching the back cover.

To remove the back cover, first we will use a plastic film. We insert it into the gap between the middle cover and the back cover and run it along the length of the middle cover, detaching a few clips and creating a gap. After that we can use a thicker tool. We insert it into the already formed gap and run it along detaching the clips. Always need to be careful in the area of the side buttons and fingerprint sensor, because in this area may be located cables and they can be damaged. And of course we need to be careful at the corners, because the cover is held especially tightly at the corners.

The fingerprint sensor cable is located on one of the sides and goes from the motherboard to the back cover. So, we're going to carefully open and flip the cover over so that we don't damage the cable.

We need to unscrew the twelve screws on the top, we use a 1.5mm Phillips screwdriver or #000.

Carefully use a non-metal tool (we use tweezers with ceramic tips) to hook around the edge and open the cover hiding the motherboard. On this cover us located flashlight elements, tracks(lines) for speaker. 

Disconnect the battery connector as soon as you can. Use a non-metallic or plastic tool to avoid any damage.

ℹ️️ The Huawei nova Y61 model has a battery HB496590EFW-F with a capacity of 5000 mAh (also known as a rechargeable battery).

Then we disconnect the fingerprint sensor connector and remove the back cover.

And we move on to unscrewing the screws at the bottom. The screwdriver is the same 1.5mm Phillips. The screws look the same, but we still recommend placing them on a special surface in an easy to remember order for reassembly.

Carefully pry at the edge detaching the cover at the bottom that hides the sub-board.

Disconnect the coaxial cable connector and the inter-board cable connector on the sub-board.

Remove the sub-board. It may be glued to the frame or attached with attachments like latches or hooks, so be careful.

ℹ️️ The sub-board contains a charging port (Micro-USB), microphone, headset port, spring contacts for the vibration motor, and an antenna unit.

⚠️️ It is not necessary to insert the tool underneath when removing the sub-board. Internal components could be damaged.

Move on to disconnecting the display connector and the inter-board cable connector.

We also disconnect the coaxial cable connector and pull the cable aside.

Then we can remove the rear cameras. The small cameras are attached to the motherboard with holders, but the large one may be taped to the display frame. And we disconnect the connector and remove the front camera.

Carefully remove the printed circuit board. There is no need to use a lever or try to reach the circuit board by force. Make sure that nothing is getting in the way or holding the circuit board.

The motherboard, also, may be attached with attachments like latches or hooks, be careful.

⚠️️ Do not bend the circuit board when removing it or push tools under it. Unbeknownst to yourself, you can damage components or cables from the inside.

Finally we move on to detaching the battery. We have traditionally for Huawei three brown tabs with numbers 1,2,3. And we need to unwrap the outer ones, and we need to pull the middle one.

We hold the display frame with one hand and pull the middle tab with the other.

As we can see, the battery is also held on the transparent protective coating, which protects the display cable.

And in the display frame we still have the speaker, vibration motor, display cable and coaxial cable.
