Disassembly/Repair of the mobile device Xiaomi Mi Square Box Bluetooth Speaker 2 (Xiaomi Mi Square Box Bluetooth Speaker 2 XMYX03YM) with each step description and the required set of tools.
Step 2. Open the cover
Carefully open the cover.
⚠️ Pay attention! The microphone is located on the cover from the inside.
Step 3. Remove the microphone
Remove the microphone. The microphone is not glued and held by a soft pad.
Step 8. Unscrew the screws
Using a screwdriver (Phillips 2.5 mm PH00), unscrew four screws and remove the frame securing the motherboard.
ℹ️️ Be sure to note the location of the screws before disassembling. When assembling the device, screwing the screw in the wrong place may damage the device or its part. To avoid damage, the removed screws and individual pieces (as gaskets or brackets) must be laid out in the appropriate order, or the screws and their holes in the phone must be marked with colored markers.
Step 9. Disconnect the connector
Carefully remove the inter-board cable from the connector and turn the motherboard over.
Step 10. Remove the motherboard
Disconnect the loudspeakers wires connectors and an inter-board cable connector.
Step 11. Unscrew the screws
Using a screwdriver (Phillips 2.5 mm PH00), unscrew three screws securing the sub-board.
Step 12. Remove the daughterboard
Remove the sub-board with a headphone jack socket and charging port.
Step 13. Unscrew the screws
Using a screwdriver (Phillips 2.5 mm PH00), unscrew three screws securing the small board.
Step 15. In the housing remained
There is no problem removing two loudspeakers. Use a screwdriver Phillips 2.5 mm PH00 to unscrew four screws for two on each.
