Disassembly/Repair of the mobile device Xiaomi POCO X4 GT (Xiaomi POCO X4 GT 22041216G) with each step description and the required set of tools.

⚠️️ Before disassembling, do not forget to turn your phone off.

First of all, we need to remove the card tray. To do this, we use a special tool. We insert it into the hole and carefully push out the card tray.

⚠️️ If the tray does not come out well, we can additionally use tweezers.

Then we need to heat the surface of the back cover to a temperature of approximately 70 degrees Celsius or 160 degrees Fahrenheit. For this we use a heating mat, you can use a hair dryer.

And after 5 to 7 minutes, we can move on to detaching the back cover. To do this we use a thin plastic film, insert it into the gap between the back cover and the middle cover and carefully run along the edge cutting off the adhesive backing.

⚠️️ As always, we need to be careful not to push the tool in too deep, so as not to damage anything that may be located under the cover.

⚠️️ As we can see the back cover is separate from the camera cover.

We need to unscrew the three screws that fix the camera cover. For this we use a Phillips screwdriver of one and a half millimeters or Philips #000.

After that we need to use a non-metallic tool to detach the cover.

Carefully pry up the edge, lift and remove the camera cover.

Now we can unscrew the ten screws on the upper part. For this we also use a one and a half millimeter Phillips screwdriver or Phillips #000.

⚠️️ If you see that the screws are different, they can be taken pictures or placed on a special surface where you can sign each of the screws, from where and in what sequence it was unscrewed.

Using a screwdriver Phillips 1.5 mm (PH #000), unscrew the seven screws.

So, we unscrewed all the screws and after that we need to detach the middle cover.

To do this, we use a thin tool, disconnect a few clips in the area of the card tray and then we can use a thicker tool.

We go along the edge, unclip the clips, and thus detaching the middle cover.

⚠️️ As always, we need to be careful around the buttons, because they are physically located there.

⚠️️ Please note, we need to be really careful not to damage the fingerprint sensor cable.

Disconnect the battery connectors as soon as you can. Use a non-metallic or plastic tool to avoid any damage.

ℹ️️ The Xiaomi POCO X4 GT 22041216G model has a battery BM5G with a capacity of 5080 mAh (also known as a rechargeable battery).

We disconnect the fingerprint sensor cable connector, with a non-metallic tool and remove the middle cover to the side.

Now we need to detach the speaker at the bottom.

Gently pry up the edge, lift and remove the loudspeaker.

After that we need to disconnect the inter-board cable connector, we need to disconnect the two coaxial cables and release the cables from the clips fixing them on the sub-board.

We can detach the sub-board, we find the right place where we can hook, lift and remove the sub-board.

On the sub-board we have the charging port, microphone and card connector on the back side.

Then we move on to disconnecting the connectors on the motherboard.

We disconnect two connectors of two coaxial cables. Disconnect the connector to the display. We disconnect the connectors of the inter-board cable.

Let's detach the front and rear cameras. Gently pry up the base, lift and remove the cameras.

Please note that the large rear camera is glued to the display frame.

Now we can detach the motherboard.

Pry it up in the right place, lift it up, take the motherboard out.

Finally, we need to detach the battery.

There should be three brown tabs located.

The tabs that are located on the edges we need to pull carefully upwards, thereby detaching the battery.

Under the battery we have a transparent protective coating, which protects the inter-board cables.

ℹ️️ In the display frame remained: the earpiece speaker, vibration motor, coaxial and flat cables.
