Step 2. Remove the tray
Use the ejection tool (aka Needle) or Paperclip. Push the tip all the way into the hole until the tray ejects, and then pull the tray of SIM and Memory card (Micro SD) out.
â ī¸ī¸ Pay attention! The tool must be inserted into a hole on the edge of the phone's housing. Do not press too hard. It may break the tray eject mechanism.
Step 3. Open the back cover
Take a thin plastic tool to detach the back cover.
We put it in the hole between the back cover and the display frame and run it along detaching the clips. Once we have a gap - we can use a thicker tool.
Always be careful around the side buttons and the fingerprint sensor, because in these places are the buttons themselves and there may be cables and they can be accidentally damaged.
We also need to be careful on the corners, because the cover is held extremely tightly on the corners.
And when we open the back cover, with one finger we have to press the fingerprint sensor on the cover, just in case. Because the sensor goes separately and may be glued to the back cover.
Step 5. Open the cover
We check that the fingerprint sensor is not fixed on the cover and we can carefully detach the cover.
Find a convenient place, hook at the edge, lift and pull off the cover so as not to damage the fingerprint sensor cable.
Step 6. Disconnect the battery connector
Disconnect the battery connector as soon as you can. Use a non-metallic or plastic tool to avoid any damage.
âšī¸ī¸ The Xiaomi Redmi 12C 22126RN91Y model has a battery TLp030K7 with a capacity of 5000 mAh (also known as a rechargeable battery).
Step 10. Disconnect the connectors
Disconnect the inter-board cable connector and the coaxial cable connector.
Step 11. Remove the daughterboard
We move on to detaching the sub-board, finding the right and convenient place to hook on.
The sub-board is recessed into the display frame, it is held on the clips and there are two protrusions in the display frame for the screws on which the sub-board is threaded.
On the sub-board we have a microphone charging port, and other elements on the inside.
Step 12. Remove the cameras
We move on to detach the cameras. It is better to hold the cameras by the body, so that they do not fall out. The front camera is traditionally tapped with a heat dissipating coating.
Step 13. Disconnect the connectors
Moving on to disconnecting the display connector and disconnecting the coaxial cable connector and bending the cable aside.
Step 14. Remove the motherboard
Carefully remove the printed circuit board. There is no need to use a lever or try to reach the circuit board by force. Make sure that nothing is getting in the way or holding the circuit board.
The motherboard, also, may be attached with attachments like latches or hooks, be careful.
â ī¸ī¸ Do not bend the circuit board when removing it or push tools under it. Unbeknownst to yourself, you can damage components or cables from the inside.
Step 15. Remove the battery
Finally, we move on to detach the battery.
We need to unwrap the two brown tabs and pull on the wide tab that goes under the battery at the edges.
With one hand we hold the display frame and with the other hand we gently pull upwards, removing the battery.
The battery is also held on a transparent protective coating, which protects the inter-board cable.
Step 16. In the display frame remained
âšī¸ī¸ In the display frame remained: the earpiece speaker, coaxial cable, vibration motor, and side buttons.
